I'm 16, and my dad has a lot of money but he isn't too into spending it. I want to get a 2005 Subaru STi, I know a lot about working on cars and love attention to detail. I would probably drive about 7 or 8k miles a year, that is not a lot, but since I live within walking distance to the school he blows it off. Most kids drive these Audi's that cost a ton and spray paint them flat black and they think they are all bada$$. I'm not sure how to tell this to my dad. I'm getting my full license early december, I have put over 5k miles on my permit driving around in my mom's new Honda Insight. Any help here folks? Now before you say I'm gonna kill myself, remember that I have a lot of self respect and a love interest in my life, and I'm a responsible person. I do enjoy using cars for fun every now and then when it's safe and lawful.
I have to add, I'm in honor classes and have ton's of homework and get only a few hours of time where i'm not working on homework at day. I couldn't support a part-time job at all, not with putting down school
