ive always been a decent runner, i hit 7 minutes for a mile in elementary( in p.e.) and then i got really fat cus i looovvv food. lol and then it got worse to 7:50 in middle school. Freshmen year in high school i dropped to 7:30 but my p.e. teacher happened to be cross country/track adn field coach. he saw potential in me and trained me really hard so i can try out for cross country, ironically i got cut my sophomore year. so he continued to train me and i got in track and field sophomore year(second semester). by the time track was done, my mile was 4:57 at my best. cross country started and then problems came. I was having problems outside of school and i used running to relax myself. one day i kept thinking about my problems and i pushed harder and harder and suddenly i passed out. it was on intervals day too so the whole team and coach witnessed it. i was out of running for all of cross country. im able to run again and my mile is 5:16,, which sucks. but then i ran the 400m with my sprinting friends and i got a crappy 62, but it was fun. so now i want to do both the mile(distance) and 400m(sprinting). coach wants me to focus on distance. but most distance runners have mile and 2 mile, and cus of my passing out, if i shud have a second event, i think it shud be a short sprinting event. but nnnnooooooo! how can i prove to the coach that if he lets me train for both he wont regret it. I really like the 400m.
Bythoway, im a junior now. if it werent for my passing out i would have been at like a 4:30 mile by now. but i need to prove myself again, and i reeaally like the 400m.
