Okay please bear with me here.
Perhaps an example will explain this the best:
Let's say the extension in graph is numbered: 20,21,22,23,24,25
Now let's say the initial length is 20 and final is 25.
Strain = change in length/initial length. So to get each for strain I tried 5/20, 5/21, 5/22, 5/23, 5/24, 5/25.
The problem is now the numbers are decreasing! I'm doing something wrong but I don't know what. Please help. How do I convert the extension to strain part properly?
Just to clarify it is a conversion to stress strain graph. I just have problem with the strain part/
