Happily bought my hi spec sony vaio windows 7 laptop and my canon hfs10 top of the range camcoder,got premier cs3, all ready to enter the next phase of hi quality video production for my video art work. I find i am constantly plagued, first cs3 doesnt accept the camcorder avchd files, Then i give up and use windows movie maker, try importing there, windows movie maker crashes everytime!There must be a way a piece of software that allows me to edit avchd to the quality it actually is when i record it! Any help?
Canon hfs10 files record video with avchd.mts formats, it can not be accepted by windows movie maker etc directly, also not easy to be edit, play etc on Windows 7. We always need to convert it to other common formats like avi, wmv, mpg, dv, mov, mp4 etc for Windows 7.
Windows 7 avchd converter supports convert avchd, mts, m2ts, trp, td, ts, tp files to avi, wmv, dv, mov, flv, mpg, mpeg, rm, rmvb, mkv, swf, 3gp, m4v, 3g2, xvid, divx, hd mp4, hd mov, hd avi, hd mpg, hd wmv etc and extract audio from video and save as aac, ac3, amr, m4a, mka, mp3, mp2, wav, wma, aiff etc on Windows 7, vista, xp.
