How to connect Sony ericsson dcu-60 data cable?

I just got a generic DCU-60 usb data cable for Sony ericsson cellphone but it has no instructions and the cable can fit either way so which way does the phone part of the cable plug in..with the 3 pins toward the top (upper part near the camera) of the connector or the other way around
