How to connect a laptop to a TV?

Hi there,

I have a VGA to RCA cable (Red, Yellow, White cables at other end) and I'm trying to connect it to the TV through the RCA slots...but it won't work...I've tried everything I know of...tried to configure settings on graphics card etc...but it won't work.

What am I doing wrong?

Please help.
