How to come to work at a later time when scheduled?

I am a one man show at a seafood department...but it doesnt pay well. also, i got a call in at my other job that pays better, but it affects my seafood job time. I dont want to call out of seafood, but i need a good excuse to tell them I would only be gone for a portion of the day. plz help.
 
You're employer is not your mother, and you owe them no explanation other than: "I have a personal business matter to attend to and need to take a half of a day off (or whatever the time frame is) need to be away. Unless you (or if you are working as part of a union) have signed something stating otherwise, that is all they need to know.
