How to change Ignition Switch on 1991 toyota 4runner with broken key?

remove the lower and upper plastic covers and drill the headless bolts out that hold it in place that will remove the whole switch on it and that's what you,ll have to replace the whole thing,on a toyota you cant just replace the key and tumblers,good luck.

My parents have a 4runner that half of the key broke off in the ignition switch, you can not turn the ignition to ACC in order to depress the button that locks the ignition in the dash. I have not looked at the button location in the 4runner yet. I am driving a few hours to try to help them change out the ignition switch.

I was wondering if anyone knew if I could easily drill out this button or if there is another way to get the old ignition switch out?
