How to change html image path with php?

So im working on a functionality for my forum for the user to change their avatar. I need to figure out a way to change the path of the image on html to the path to the new avatar. Help!
I was being an idiot you do it like this for anyone who wants to know...


I dont know why it isnt showing my code :p Thanks first answer is best :)
