How to change a driver's side mirror on Pontiac Grand Am?

I have a 1999 Pontiac grand am and my driver's side mirror was hit and the entire housing was busted off. At this point everything has been removed but even the bolts themselves were busted and they are still partially there. I have ordered the new mirror and would like to know if anyone can tell me how to get the rest of the old one off and put on the new one-step by step if you could. I know I'm going to have to get into the door panel and get to it from the inside as well as the outside. thanks.
 
The bolts have nuts on them you have to take them off , pull out tha bolts set the new mirror bolts in the holes and put the nuts back on.
