In short: I need a way to control oil without destroying my hair.
I have very, very oily hair, and I can't seem to find a balance between looking like an unwashed hobo (if I shampoo every other day or use any conditioner at all, even on just the ends of my hair) and having crunchy split ends and flyaways (if I shampoo every day without using conditioner). Is there any way for me to compromise, instead of having to choose between having clean hair and having healthy hair? I have tried a wide variety of shampoos and conditioners, most of which purport to be for oily hair, and none of them have worked. My hair texture is very fine and my hair is very straight. I don't dye my hair or use heat styling, or do anything else that would further fry my hair.
Any ideas?
