While on my trip to Hawaii in July, I got a palm tree seedling to bring back home. Upon returning home I planted the seedling in a large pot with holes on the bottom and with miraclegrow potting soil. I kept it outside since it was summer at the time. I had accidently left it outside for one day when the temperature went to freezing. The palm tree went from a beautiful green to an ugly brown color. I am wondering if it could be dead? or if it is dormant for the winter? I am also wondering if leaving it out for that one night could have ruint it?
