ok, the other day I was outside and one of my cats meowed at me and I saw a little furry shape next to it. and I went to look closer and I saw that it was a baby bunny. it's eyes are open and it has all its fur. I'm not sure what to feed it though. what should I feed it?? and how should I take care of it?
oops Care**

a word of caution about taking the bunny to the humane society. right now, in new york anyways (seeing how i don't know where you are) our pet shelters are loaded with rabbits. i just took 4 of them to the shelter....and i found out from a friend of mine that volunteers in the shelter, that they put the babies to sleep due to over crowding. i would say from a animal lovers point of view....try to have the shelter as a last resort if you wanna try to save the baby.

I've been in this situation before, however I had 8 wild baby bunnies and in the end only 2 survived. I fed them every 2 hours, you can pick up animal formula from a pet store and feed them by eye dropper.

I would bring the rabbit to the humane society and have them take care of the animal. They know what to do to ensure the animal will survive in the wild. I thought I could have saved them but in the end it didn't work out as planned.
