Hi All,
In June 2010 while visiting the Philippines I purchased 2 apartments in a condominium in Manila, during the initial process of visiting the showroom and discussing the price, I was told that because I'm paying the full price in 1 year the company will grant me with a discount of 500,000 Philippines pesos per unit which means 1 million discount for both of the units together.
In the contract itself there was no mention of the discount, the sales agent promised to take care of it, but the company is claiming that I have to pay the full price. The contract was signed in June in the last day of my stay in the country but until today I didn't got the a copy of it. A sales coordinator told me later it was an error that the sales agent made.
The cost of the 2 apartments without the discount became too expensive for me and I will not be able to pay it as I planed.
I came to a conclusion that better for me to cancel the sale contract and look for another property with an affordable price.
My question is if I have a case and I can cancel the contract after such a short time, even before the "groundbreaking" of the construction or to swallow the bitter pill and to pay for my mistake?
