How to calculate "exact net change" for a dimming light?

So a light is dimming with the intensity of the light decreasing according to dl/dt = -0.5t - 3 candela per second. We are asked to "determine the exact net change" in the light's intensity during the first minute.

Also, the second part asks to find the same thing, but during the first x seconds.

I don't need an exact answer, but how to go about solving this would be great! We're looking at integrals and Riemann sums and the fundamental theorem of calculus, so I'm guessing it has something to do with these. I'm just stuck as to how to begin. Thanks in advance!
