I need to buy a used car but due to raising a child alone with no help from my ex because he doesn't make his child support payments my credit is pretty bad. I know at the end of the year dealers want to get rid of stock but in January I am getting student loan money and in feb my tax refund.... so would it be a good idea to apply to finance a car this month with no down payment or to wait until i have a couple thousand to put down? Which way will they be more likely to approve me? I need the car as soon as I can get it.
