How to burn second ISO image file to DVD by using NERO START SMART?

Hi frnd’s.i had burn an iso image to my dvd(DVD-R).the size of my dvd is 4.7GB, and the size of my iso image is just 642 MB.well I had used “nero start smart” to burn iso image to dvd.now the problem starts here.The size of iso image is just 642 MB and size of dvd is 4.7GB,so it is obvious that lots of space is available in my dvd.now I want to burn another iso image(size 1.7GB),to my disc,but when I press burn button on “nero start smart” menu,dvd disc comes out from CD ROM,and the messege it shows is this”NERO NEEDS DVD-RW OR DVD+RW “etc. etc.!Well if nero can burn an iso image file to DVD-R,then what is the problem now.Im not any xpert in burning DVD’s,but I assume that nero can burn only once,and if the space left after first burn(no matter how much space is left and in my case approximately more than 3GB is still blank),nero can’t burn more??...........is there any another burning software available on net which can fix my problem??............Any help will be gr8ly appreciated……….Thanx for reading my question……………
 
A DVD-R cannot be written to after it has already been written to once. You need a DVD-RW to do this or a DVD+RW. Alos you said above your CD-ROM drive is ejecting your DVD... if your drive is indeed a CD-ROM and you are not just using CD-ROM as a general term for a CD Drive then this is also a problem. A CD-ROM support only CDs (Compact Disks) and the "ROM" part states that the drive is "Read only Memory" which means that the drive cannot write to the CD it can only read it. If you have two drives in your computer you need to double check both to make sure you are putting the right type of disk in the right type of drive. The front of each drive will state what type it is, and what it supports.
