How to Burn Dramas/Movies onto DVDs to play on DVD Players?

I have a Mac OS X Tiger, 10.4.11

I basically want to burn an Asian Drama or a Movie onto DVDs that can be played in a DVD player or a Xbox if possible.

I want to know what Programs I can use that are available Online for FREE to burn episodes and successfully watch them on my DVD player instead of being restricted to my laptop.
