How to build a mousetrap car that travels 40 m and goes at a speed of 1.6 m/s?

A physics assignment to build a mousetrap car that can travel 40 m and go at a speed of 1.6 m/s in the first 4 m which has to entirely fit in a shoebox and can ONLY be powered by a mousetrap (no rubber bands or anything).
