How to boost poor wifi signal anyhow?

Hi, currently I shifted to new place and I was using wifi called
jncs, it was fine accessing it from my old place but now in new place my
PCI Wifi card doesnot show it's signal. I live in ground floor but signal
shows in 1st floor in laptop. Does anybody have any
idea how to catch the signal from first floor and send it all the way to
ground floor in Wifi card.
