How to block browser based chatting programs like google chat in gmail and yahoo

chat in yahoo mail ? I want to block all types of messengers like yahoo messenger, google talk and msn messenger etc. At the same time users are able to chat by opening their mail box in web browser and from the browser they're chatting. How do I block all these messengers and chat programs?
Is there any appliance available for this job?
 
Do you really want to block them? If you just don't want people to chat to you, you can set your status to offline in both google and yahoo chat. Just open your mailbox, wait for the chat to load and set your status to offline.
