How to: BlackBerry to Cricket 8830 or any other BB

im having trouble connecting QXDM.. BB desktop connects at USB-PIN and under device manager its says port 7 and 8.. but they dont connect on QXDM.. what am i doing wrong? thanks
 
i believe the best way to flash a blackberry is with infosoft universal pst and the dll file...

not really good with blackberries, but i have a couple here, so i'll be knocking htem out soon and i'll post a tut for you guys...
 
tried with bb 8830 sprint today but it wont wokrs , just disconnect when i wanna change MSL to 000000 . dont know why . Any one here done this job yet ? if yes, post your experience please !

ill be on the lookout for randomwit's tut... i've messed with this sprint 8830 for almost a week and nada. i even tried wiping it clean and installing the verizon version but the sprint stuff is in there deep.

I really wish I could help... keep up posted
 
I found a different method for the Verizon Pearl using QPST 2.7 build 264:

--Connect to the Desktop Manager
--Start QPST Configuration tool and locate/add COM port
--Start QPST Service Programming Tool
--Select as Base Model: SURF6300-BB
--Connect to phone and read: SPC should be all zeroes (if not, follow tutorial in first post)
--Go to the Roaming tab and load the Cricket PRL
--Write to phone
--Test OTASP

the blackberry 8830 W.E. is a real pain in the back side i've had one for 2 days read many tut and had no success putting the prl on there i did have success finding the msl thanks to amoamare it kinded made me mad that i could not do it and i wish i had, had more time with the phone because i know i could have did it if anyone has one for sale please pm me i do not give up so easy
 
also qpst fail to right do to some read-only error and

qxdm failed to put phone in mode offline-d

and CDMA workshop gives a symtax error
 
Ok here is how for the Sprint BlackSucky.

Get the Code using the address above thankx to amoamare

Qxdm and QPST will not work(not me)

I use Infosoft PST with the 7250c dll. Make sure you make connection using blacksucky device manager to have the comport like you did with qpst(you already know this i asume)

If you just write the prl it will not work well you exptected to be like other phone but no(not for me).

Click on setting and read the phone. After you read look at about 2/3 down in the page of information there. You will see something like "nam enable" or some thing like that click to the left and with the arrow point down now choose "true"

now while you in here just set your SID too to make sure it work (you can set your SID later too but just do it for now)

When done click the button so you could write the information to the phone. Phone will restart and just wait for it to come back online(not the phone just look on the lower corner you will see it connected and it will show the esn)

Now click on the PRL to the left of the screen and now just load the prl in there and it will work for you.

to check the prl version to see if it had successfully write it to the phone

on the phone tye this #4357*DIAL it spell #help*Dial(the send or call button)

NOw that it enjoy your black berry on what ever you want.

I need the spc address for BB 8703e if anyone know please post here or pm me thank and also the samsung ace too. thankx

yeah...i used uni pst for a few others, but had not tried it on the 8830, b/c i uninstalled and i am having an issue with hardlosk now...

worked fine before...hmmm

i did successfully change the spc on the 8830 with qpst, so if anyone wants to quickly write spc to 000000 then that's your best bet...

i will be posting the memory address for the 7290 soon b/c i tried one of those with qpst while my uni pst is out, and of course it changed soc from 000000 to something else...

i have just finished my memory scan for readable ranges and will now use workshop to find it...
