how to beef up my 1987 buick regal?

i dont want to install a 350 i just want something to cruise in and hit the gas every now and then, i want to keep the v6 cause of gas, im already thinking about doing dual exhaust but anyone know anything else i can do im not trying to race or anything also the car is the v6 non turbo its a regal limited
