how to beat carnival/fair game - ball and bucket?

tonight i attended a local fair and came to the game i always get addicted to every year, the ball and bucket. in this game you have to toss the ball into the bucket thats slanted without it bouncing out. sounds easy, but if youve ever played before you know its nearly impossible. i spent over $50 trying to win. you have to get 2 in to win. and i got one in a few times but it was very hard to do. he would take the ball out after i got the first one in because believe it or not, having the first ball in helps the second one stay. this guy who ran it was very fair and helpful though and got to the point where hed give me 4 balls instead of 2. i was trying to win a prize that costs $300 and i really wanted. i was able to get it in but not consistantly, just had luck a few times but unfortanatly not in a row. he was telling me to easily toss it high and hit right just above the bottom opening at the tip.so how do i beat this game? i really want to go back and win
