how to be rid of minor scarring?

hi,

does anybody know a way to treat those horrible dark circles that last for sometimes more than 6 months after a bad pimple or cystic acne? Its not pitted scars, just brownish spots?

I know there are products to lighten skin but it lightens all of your skin and not just the scars, so I am wondering if there is a way to just lighten the dark spots or if only time will do it?

Mine are red scars. Looks like I got burned lol. You could try mederma. Time does it too. And when I get sun it helps blur it in.
