Hi I was recently asked to be a tutor through the recommendation of my past middle school teacher which I happily accepted. However, it is my first time tutoring and I am not familiar with how it should be done. I am supposed help this student in French with verbs, writing etc , and algebra for math. I hear that he has his own textbook for French. Should I have a curriculum planned out and give him an assessment the first day to know where he's at, and give him assignments etc? Or am i supposed to help him finish his textbook homework. Also, I'm only tutoring him twice a week for 1 hour each time, and only for the summer. What should i do?
