how to bake Global Illumination in Maya?

I've got a scene in maya which is an interior scene and want to do a rendered walkthrough..but the problem is that the rendering will take months..I've both Global Illumination and final gather in my scene since its a morning scene. So, is there a way or any tutorial on how to do that?
i want to bake all the GI and FG data (light and shadows) in the textures...and then use occlusion as another pass on that...Please Help...
