how to bait a fishing hook with a worm effectively?

I've been fishing for different types of fish like Black Pacu, Tilapia and others, I baited my hooks with worms, but once they struck the bait, I keep loosing them as well as the worm even though my hooks are barbed hooks? I would appreciate it if someone could show me an effective way to bait a hook with a worm so that every time I have a bite, I would get the fish.
