How to approach this girl?

There is a girl that I like online We are friends on facebook but never met in person. She has 1000 + friends on facebook, is very popular and well known in town, etc. Anyway, I find her very attractive and she knows this because I have left little comments on her pics before saying she's cute and stuff like that. I even asked her once if she was going to this concert here, she said yes, asked if I was going. Well, I saw her there but she was with a bunch of people so I got too shy to approach her. I even told her on facebook about this and told her she looked gorgeous though. She replied with "Awww thank you". Even since then she has left little comments, status updates, etc on my profile, wished me happy birthday, etc. But we have never really had m uch of a conversation online. My friends think she is ugly, and I'm too good looking for her but it's really all in the eye of the beholder. I just don't know what to do about it all because I can't converse online. I honestly think she would be a lucky girl to go out with me and I would be thrilled to meet her. So what can I do? I was thinking about just randomly sending her a message alomg the lines of, "I'm not much of a conversationalist online. Have lunch with me sometime. Say yes! Here is my number..." or I could just be like, "Would you like to have lunch with me sometime?" What would be better? Or are they both stupid ideas? lol
