How to apply liquid foundation on my nose without it looking super fake/flaky?

Whenever I put liquid foundation on my nose it gets a little flaky and it looks TOTALLY fake. I hsve tiny invisible blackheads on my nose, but when I wear liquid foundation on them, they look very very very visible! Please help me!
