How to answer questions in a poetry test?

I have a test on poetry next week and I need some help. We get like 5 poems and we have to read them and answer questions on them. We get graded on how good our answers are. I don't really know how to answer the questions like how to describe the techniques used and what was the effect of them and all that. Can anyone help me or do you have any useful internet links? Thanks!! By the way I am in year 10 (New Zealand school system) (age 15).
