How to adjust valves on dodge dart?

ok 1976 dodge dart sport that needs tune up and im doing it and i have my valve cover off so i figured i do adjust the valves too. only problem is, ive only ever done it on a newer motor. ill try to include a picture too. if you could help me out it would be great. by the way its a 3.7 225 slant 6. ive heard of people using screw drivers to look for clicking but i dont know. Thanks if you could give me a step be step.

Loosen the nut
put finger on nut
tighten till it ''clicks''
back it off a ''bit''
tighten nut
Its all by feel. you CAN use a feeler guage but by now parts are worn so the guage route will probably end up giving you a ''click''
