How to add extra video tracks in Sony Vegas?

How do I add extra video tracks? 1 all my tracks come up when starting a new clip. I see that other peoples screens are blank. Dues that make a difference? 2 when i go to add a new video track it only allows me to add 1 more. Even if i delete other tracks. And I see other people can add a lot more. What am I doing wrong? Can u help me?
