How to add a sender name field in a php email form?

I have a php email form and I need to add a field so that the sender's name comes up when the message is shown in the inbox. Like when you go to your inbox, and it says you have a new message and on the line of the new message it's the senders first and last name.

Also, how can I make it so that my PHP form doesn't require a name (besides the field I'm requesting above, it has a name field that doesn't come up as the senders first and last name at all.) and a return email address.

All help with either topic would be more than greatly appreciated.
