How the military can screw you

We're not telling her it isn't happening...we're telling her that if it's happening like she says it is then she DOES have recourse. You obviously do not understand what the military can and cannot do. The time and effort it would take to blackball someone outside of protocol is more than a simple drug incident is worth. That's what we're saying.

That's what you said...

Yeah...you're obviously in way over your head in this thread. Oh, and almost any military person can probably quote articles from the UCMJ on demand..that's just how it is. Go away. :thumbsdn:

seriously though it is a bad situation and all of us thought that they couldnt discharge you without evidence, but apparently they can and they are. we've all looked though her file and LOR and the reason for discharge states exactly what she posted. so many people have tried fighting it for her, but in the end they could only take it so far. it sounds really far fetched and so many people have thought this was messed up. theyve taken it up the chain and theyre still doing it. but oh well...sorry that i offended anyone by calling them an idiot but a few posts back i was called a bitch by the navy person so whatever.

That would be me! And I said it because:

See that little hand with all but one finger down? Yeah, that preceeded by the bold sentence above constitute an insult to everyone here in (currently or previously or even in the future) the military should have been offended by that dumb shit. Who the hell are you, how do you fit into this story, and why do you think we care?

*sigh*
Well look, whatever the situation, it sucks. Sorry you have to go through it. Hope things work out in the end.
We're only trying to say that if the situation is truly that fucked up, there truly are things that can be done. The only reasons I can see that those avenues aren't explored are because there's (a) some truth in the allegations, or (b) something else that might get dug up, or (c) there is some kind of discharge conspiracy going on. Any chance most of the people being discharged are women? We hear a lot about sexual harrassment in the Air Force and that's definitely something that a command would go to extreme lengths to smooth over quietly.

Anyways, good luck.
