How the heck did Donte Stallworth only get 30 days in jail?

A friend of mine from hs made a huge mistake a few years ago. She drove home drunk from a party, tried to change lanes and clipped another car. The car spun out of control, hit a wall and one person inside was killed. She's now serving 15-20 years in prison for her actions. How does Stallworth get drunk, murder someone with his car, and only get 30 days in prison? It makes me feel really sad to be an American. I guess justice is only for the rich. Where are all the race baitors that always claim the black man gets shafted by the system? Like OJ, here's another loser that got off totally free.
tabasco, who cares if he meant to kill him? Stallworth was drunk. Are you saying I can get high and drunk and murder someone, but claim it's cool cause I didn't mean to do it?
 
Perhaps you should read up on Florida Law. I'll give you a head start. It's called Causation. Meaning...Reyes contributed to his own death by running out into traffic. Your friend's situation is different in that she was solely responsible for the accident. Stallworth, while over the limit(barely) wasn't the sole contributor to the accident. Furthermore, everyone keeps saying he bought his way out. It was an Insurance settlement. The man had insurance and the insurance did what it was meant to. Reyes' FAMILY wanted the case to be over quickly. Clearly, the money was good enough for them. BTW... it's not murder, it's manslaughter. Two very different crimes. You should really get your facts straight before shooting off at the lip. Seriously.
