Deadly illness.
I ask this because my daughter's new step is saying that she has something that could kill her and her mil doubts her. She thinks she is saying this to gain sympathy/attention. I am concerned that if she is lying that she is mentally unhinged and could be a potential threat to my kid. To be fair, I don't really know anything about her and neither does his family. They only dated for about 5 mos. before they decided to get married, so I am skeptical about her overall.
I don't really know what to believe and I am not going to make any rash decisions until I am sure. I was just wondering if she is lying, what kind of crazy are we talking here?? I mean is she an attention seeker, a pathological liar, or is she psycho? Am i being overly dramatic by thinking that she could be harmful to my child for lying about something that serious to get attention??
I really am just looking for an outsider's point of view, so I know that I am not being a silly drama queen. What would you think if your kid's step lied about having a life threatening illness?
Btw, I don't trust his decisions. He tends to think with his heart and not his brain.
