How soon is a pregnancy test accurate?

I had sex about a week and a half ago, and my period isn't until the 6th of every month (give or take 2 days). I am wondering if I can take a pregnancy test tomorrow, will is be accurate (even though my period hasn't come or been missed). If it will be accurate, what is the best brand to use?

Thanks. No immature comments please.

I wouldn't recommend it. You should wait at least 5 days before your period is due and then it's best to use a test that provides early results (First Response) but when you do a test before your period is do there's like a 20-40% chance of getting a false negative.

some women can get a positive as early as 10 days after ovulation. or going by periods they have the tests for 5 days before your missed period but there is a chance it might not show your pregnant even if you are. best thing to do is wait until a week past your period to take a test sometimes due to stress and things your period could show up late.

usually about 2 weeks, or just when ur period is supposed to arrive and it hasnt.then its usually safe to go ahead and take one, but make sure u do it in the morning, that is when ur pee is the strongest and will have a really good reading on it.
