How should I tune sony amp and jvc head unit stereo to get good bass?

Would like to get the most thump possible, but still be able to hear the music

I have a Sony Xplod XM-GTX1852 1000 Watt amp (connected to 2 12" subs)
and a JVC KD-R610 head unit

Head unit options
1. Under Settings Labeled Bass
a. 60Hz, 80Hz, 100Hz, 200Hz
b. Bass chose between -6 to +6
c. Q1.0, Q1.25, Q1.5, Q2.0 (and what does Q stand for?)

2. Under Setting Labeled Middle
a. 0.5KHz, 1.0KHz, 1.5KHz, 2.5KHz
b. Mid Level choose between -6 to +6
c. Q.075, Q1.0, Q1.25

3. Under Setting Labeled Treble
10KHz,12.5KHz, 15KHz,17.5KHz
Treble Level choose between -6 to +6
Q Fix (no other options)

4. Other Options
Fader and Balance LR BF
Loud (on or off)
Sub Woofer Freq (Low, Mid, High)
Sub Woofer Level chose 0-8
Amp Gain (High or Low Power)
Amp settings
1. 80 Hz Low Pass Filter (on or off)
2. Knob labeled BTL (6V, 5V, 4V, 2V, 0.5V, 0.3V OPTIONS)
