ok so my aquarium is up and running with gravel, dechlorinated water, fake rock, pertrified wood, some live plant species, and a pH level that is a little high but it should wing it (7.6) (i dont wanna mess it up by chaning for such a little interval) ive tested for nitrites, nitrates, and ammonia and all the levels are at zero. how should i start the nitrate cycle or has it started already. the water got kinda murky and cleared up again but i think thats from adding the plants or the petrified wood that still had a small ammount of dirt on it, how can i tell if it has passed because i dont see any algae in the tank?
