How should i ride the bike?

I jus got my motorbike license 2 days ago! but i hv no experience in riding bike on roads! so plz suggest me how should i start with? shld i start with a small bike like splenders or directly heavy bikes like karizma,pulsar? how 2 b safe frm accidents? which gear 2 normally drive with in many conditions? etc etc
