I want to put a couple blue cathode lights inside my civic to illuminate the floorboard on the driver and passenger side. However, I have a relatively rudimentary understanding of wiring, and I know even less about car wiring in general.
What I'm wanting to know is what is the best way to hook up these lights? I want to hard wire them, but what should I tap into? What are my options? I have heard of people tapping into the fuse box (although I have no idea how to do this), the cigarette lighter, something in the ignition column, and the battery itself.
I just want to know what is the best way to hook up two cathode lights that will be mounted right above where the driver's and passenger's feet will be? Should I install a fuse inline, and what size fuse would I need? The cathodes I'm looking at are 12V, by the way.
Oh and should I wire them in series or parallel?
