I'm 22 and decided to go full-time at work and part-time at school this year to save money / pay bills / etc. I'm ready to go back to school full-time, but my job has recently cut part-time hours severally.
As long as I'm between 32-40 hours per week, I'm considered full-time. I can definitely work up to 32 hours, however, another day of work would kill me since my only days off now are my school days.
I feel one more day off would help me stay sane and organized with school. I have to speak to my store manager about this and I'm unsure as to how to discuss it since my job is very picky set schedules, even though the 3rd day off wouldn't have to be a set day every week (just the school days that are now).
I know of another person who already gets 32 hours a week and goes to school and has been there less time than I have, so I don't see the problem with my situation.
How should I discuss / bring up this with my store manager?
