Miss Dilemma

I dated a guy a long time ago. He wasnt the example of a good man. However I still had feelings for him. Honestly he has dogged me over and over. I cut him off but he keeps coming back YEARS later. Why I dont know I guess because he realizes I am stupid and I am always going to be there to boost his ego when he is single. Or maybe he just cares about me and realizes he is (blank). Either way I dont seek him out. When he reaches out to me I am geniunely interested in whats been going on with him...catch up...try and build a friendship (ONLY) because I miss him as a person and he cuts me off after awhile and tells me I am annoying. Well then why reach out to me? WTF is wrong with this man and what is this all about and what should I do? Besides tell him every 4mths for kiss my A** and leave me alone?
