My betta recently died of velvet and I plan on getting a new one. How should I wash out the old bowl? I heard velvet was highly contagious. Just in case, I will buy a medication. But it would be nice to know how to clean the bowl properly so it doesn't happen again.
Thanks a ton for the help! I'm a cheap college student who can't afford the money or space for a large tank with filters, but I clean the bowl weekly or every 5 days and its a pretty decent size. I'll give the bowl a good thorough washing with vinegar in case I buy another fish. Thanks again!
