Jesus’ Time:
When Jesus had healed a blind man, the man was cast out of the synagogue, and when Jesus met him, he confessed the words I want you to see: Joh:9:35: Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God?
Joh:9:36: He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him?
Joh:9:37: And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh with thee.
Joh:9:38: And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him.
The words he confessed are simple: “Lord, I believe”. Don’t you think Jesus had the ability to ask him repeat words like most pastors play games. “I ….., believe .. etc..”
Jesus was killed with two malefactors on bothh opf his sides. One was saved through his confession, and this is what happened:
Luke 23:39: And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us.
Luke 23:40: But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation?
Lu:23:41: And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss.
Luke 23:42: And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.
Luke 23:43: And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.
There were no specific words that this man confessed, but his speech is more than confession. First in verse 41: He realises how unworthy he is, and how uncomparable he is with Jesus, he then calls him “Lord”, and asks him to be remembered.
I would say: You don’t have to repeat some one’s words, like most preachers do. or repeat words of a prayer, but whatever comes in your heart say it out, then you shall receive salvation..
Anyway, that's what I think, what do you think?
