I am thinking of going solo to Siberia this September, specifically the Vilyuyskoye region. I have been informed by several persons online that I'd best pack a lot of lube, because I will be raped and robbed at every turn. Is Siberia really all that dangerous in terms of crime? I'm an utter weakling, so I couldn't defend myself. Also, if I were to be camping out, would bears or wolves eat me?
I am well experienced in backpacking in the Alps. Of course, there you're never more than a few hours away from a village or road.
Please only answer if you actually know what you are talking about. I know Siberia isn't the wasteland that it's stereotyped to be.

YES. GO DO IT.

Just kidding, its not safe to backpack alone anywhere you're not familiar with. You should always bring a buddy for safety, not necessarily for defense.
