Would it be a good investment to contract an electrician and re-wire the whole house? You how they say... don't fix it if ain't broken.
This house stood here in south eastern Ontario since 1970, potential risk seems pretty low with 37 yrs without a fire.
When we purchase the house 2 years ago, our home inspector mentioned we might have problems with insurance coverage due to aluminum wiring which hasn't been an issue for us.
Anyway if we decide to re-vamp all wire, it would mainly be for the appeal of updated wiring when we sell.
