thinking about buying one a 2004,05 or a 06, im a college student so i have no money or time to keep fixing a car that breaks down all the time so is this car reliable i heard some mixed reviews about it
Let me tell you something about Mazda engines , the rotary engines in the Rx8 is not that reliable as you expect it to be , it does not get good gas mileage , it can break down on you , the car probably won't even make it to 200,000 miles , I recommend as a much better alternative , a Subaru Impreza WRX STI . its fast , has awd , decent miles per gallon , reliable sturdy engine , just so fun to drive
It can be just as reliable as other engines, but you need to take special care of it. If you want a car that you can just drive around and only do oil changes as maintenance then the rx8 is NOT the car for you. If your not able to do your own oil changes and spark plug changes, etc then this car is NOT for you unless you have deep pockets.
For someone without much money I would say do not get an rx8, if something does happen to break it will cost a fortune at the dealer to fix it, if you cant do it yourself.
Wow vlad, he says he doesnt have much money so you suggest a subaru wrx sti lol? I just looked up some prices and you can get a 2006 sti with 55k miles for about $25,000. If you bought a 2006 rx8 for like 12k to 13k you could replace the engine 3 times over and still be under the sti price.
