I was looking at the Ford Racing 7.5" 28 Spline Traction - LOK Limited Slip Differential to put in my 2000 V6 Stang, but i thought i heard somewhere of them breaking easily and not being able to handle a beating (do-nuts, burn outs, drifting =P) If you know anything about these please share.

It's either get this, or get a 8.8 rear assembly off an Explorer or a wrecked Mustang.

Thanks

The best choice will be a Ford 9".
Then the 8.8 Ford.
But the 7.5 is fine for a regular street car, but when you start pushing it, it will break.
There are several reasons to go all the way to a Ford 9", of course it is stronger. In addition the 9" lets you change carriers easier. This allows you to change gearing at the track to meet the needs of the competition. It is the most popular rear end for competition and a lot of gear ratios available.
